Feed Heartbeat

Shopify → Google Merchant Center monitoring

Know the instant your Google feed silently breaks.

Feed Heartbeat watches your Shopify → Google Merchant Center feed and alerts you the moment products silently drop out, go stale, or stop syncing — the failures Google doesn't email you about.

The problem

When your Shopify → Google sync quietly breaks, nothing looks wrong. Google keeps serving whatever it last saw — stale prices, sold-out items, a shrinking catalogue — and never emails you, because from Google's side there's no error to report.

What Feed Heartbeat does

Feed Heartbeat continuously compares two things: what your Shopify store says right now, and what Google is actually serving. When they drift apart, you hear about it.

One consolidated alert — a single email plus an in-app dashboard — so you stop babysitting the Merchant Center dashboard.

How it works

  1. Connect Shopify (read-only product access) and your Google Merchant Center account.
  2. We poll both on a schedule and snapshot the state each time.
  3. We compare and alert the moment your feed's health changes.

Feed Heartbeat is detect-and-advise only. We never edit your products, change your feed, touch your Merchant Center account, or move any money. We read, compare, and tell you — nothing more.

What data we use

Feed Heartbeat reads your Shopify product data (read_products only — never customers or orders) and your Google Merchant Center product and account status (content scope) to compare what your store says against what Google is serving. We never access customer, order, or payment data. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
